The boys cheat Gladys at poker

In the dining car, Elliot and Ethan sit across from Gladys and play poker using wooden matches. To everyone else, it looks like a child’s game. Gladys sees more. She recognizes the boys are playing together as one mind, reading each other, confusing the table, and bending the game in their favor.
